Dr. Barbara Römer

Dr. Barbara Römer is a strategy consultant who specializes in developing cultural visions for cities. Born in Germany, she was educated at Princeton and received her PhD at Cambridge University. She worked in museums in France and Japan, directed theatre in Germany, produced two feature films in the USA, and consulted with McKinsey & Company in the Munich and New York offices, where she conducted management studies in the cultural sector and the Media & Entertainment industry. She was an integral part of creating the Nonprofit Practice in McKinsey, appointed to the Nonprofit Leadership Council, and elected the US representative for the Arts & Culture Sector. After heading Membership of Soho House NY, she founded the cultural consultancy Studio Römer, advising global clients on arts + culture strategy - including planning the first-ever performing arts festival in Qatar for the Qatar Foundation. In addition to leading Studio Römer (with clients in London, NYC, Miami, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, AlUla, Jeddah, Riyadh, NEOM, Abidjan, etc.), she is a speaker, a Senior Advisor to McKinsey, and a trustee of the Deutsches Museum.

Annette Richardson

Annette Richardson is a versatile strategic advisor with a unique blend of corporate strategy and public affairs expertise, including extensive experience at the United Nations, where she is currently a Special Advisor to the Under Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women. Previously, she served as a Senior Advisor to the UN Office for Partnerships under the leadership of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and was instrumental in convening some of the most significant high-level, multi-stakeholder dialogues related to public-private partnerships at the UN and around the world. She is also a former Special Advisor to the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy. Prior to her work with the UN, Annette was the Director of International Relations for the NYC 2012 Olympic Bid Committee, as well as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal. In 2013 and 2014, she was selected as one of 200 “Most Powerful Minds” by Forbes Woman. She is the Founder and Managing Partner at Richardson Partners LLC and a Partner at Ambershore Group.
