Dr. Barbara Römer
Founder + CEO
Dr. Barbara Römer is a strategy consultant who specializes in developing cultural visions for cities. Born in Germany, she was educated at Princeton and received her PhD at Cambridge University. She worked in museums in France and Japan, directed theatre in Germany, produced two feature films in the USA, and consulted with McKinsey & Company in the Munich and New York offices, where she conducted management studies in the cultural sector and the Media & Entertainment industry. She was an integral part of creating the Nonprofit Practice in McKinsey, appointed to the Nonprofit Leadership Council, and elected the US representative for the Arts & Culture Sector. After heading Membership of Soho House NY, she founded the cultural consultancy Studio Römer, advising global clients on arts + culture strategy - including planning the first-ever performing arts festival in Qatar for the Qatar Foundation. In addition to leading Studio Römer (with clients in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, AlUla, Jeddah, Riyadh, NEOM, Abidjan, London, NYC, Miami, etc.), she is a speaker, a Senior Advisor to McKinsey, and a trustee of the Deutsches Museum.

Juliet Rylance is an award-winning actor and producer who is known for her work in theatre, film, and TV, including HBO’s Perry Mason (dir. Tim Van Patten), BBC’s McMafia, The Knick (dir. Annette Richardson
Humanitarian Advisor
Annette Richardson is a versatile strategic advisor with a unique blend of corporate strategy and public affairs expertise, including extensive experience at the United Nations, where she is currently a Special Advisor to the Under Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women. Previously, she served as a Senior Advisor to the UN Office for Partnerships under the leadership of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and was instrumental in convening some of the most significant high-level, multi-stakeholder dialogues related to public-private partnerships at the UN and around the world. She is also a former Special Advisor to the Executive Office of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy. Prior to her work with the UN, Annette was the Director of International Relations for the NYC 2012 Olympic Bid Committee, as well as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal. In 2013 and 2014, she was selected as one of 200 “Most Powerful Minds” by Forbes Woman. She is the Founder and Managing Partner at Richardson Partners LLC and a Partner at Ambershore Group.
Nick Schwartz-Hall

Nick Schwartz-Hall is a performing arts programmer and producer for contemporary music, theater, dance, spoken word, and new media projects, with over 30 years of experience. He began his career as a Production Manager for The Public Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park, where he also worked on the development of Joe’s Pub. Selected producing highlights include BAM’s DanceAfrica Festival, the world’s largest festival of African and Diaspora dance; Sam Mendes’ The Bridge Project, which toured across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East; multiple new works with the London-based company Complicité; and 50 SONG MEMOIR by The Magnetic Fields. Prior to joining Globe Stage, he served as the Director of Performing Arts at Guild Hall and Senior Producer at The Music Center, LA, where he established the Center’s Producing Department, oversaw the annual Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance season, and produced large-scale concerts including Max Richter’s SLEEP in Grand Park, and Joni 75, a birthday celebration of the music of Joni Mitchell

He is an honorary bencher of the Middle Temple Hall in London; trustee of The Shakespearean Authorship Trust; an ambassador of SURVIVAL the movement for tribal peoples; and a patron of PEACE DIRECT, working for non-violent resolution of conflict.
